CROWNS The everlasting Tour De Life awards different crowns to the riders who excel at different disciplines during the life long race of life. Distinctive crowns so that all can identify the winners

The Crown of Righteousness
· The one who has lived a good and righteous life
· The one who has always stayed true to themselves and to the truths of God

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8

The Incorruptible Crown
· The “Winners Crown”
· The one that sacrifices much and is temperate in the way they live and conduct their lives

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27

The Crown of Rejoicing
· The one who shares their faith verbally and with their lives with others
· The one instrumental in leading other people to salvation

For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you? Indeed, you are our glory and joy. 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20

The Crown of Glory
· The elders or shepherd of the church
· The teachers
· The leaders, pastors, ministers, those appointed

To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder, a witness of Christ's sufferings and one who also will share in the glory to be revealed: Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, serving as overseers—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. 1 Peter 5:1-4

The Crown of Life
· The Martyr’s Crown
· The one who undergos severe hardship, testing, tribulation and/or physical death on Christ’s behalf

Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life. Revelation 2:10

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. James 1:12

Crowns
· Received when we finish the race (in heaven)
· Receive a prize that lasts forever – never fades or wears out
· Receives the greatest reward of eternal life through salvation alone in Jesus Christ
· Receives the rewards from the King Himself
· Receives congratulatory words “well done good and faithful servant” from the King
· Right now you can receive the good feeling and sense of approval of knowing that you are in God’s perfect will for your life, and that you are doing and accomplishing, to the best, what He wants from you on a daily basis

What Jerseys and Crowns will you receive?
