Dahu

A Vacation Bible School brain storming session went to “snipe hunting” which led me to a Wikipedia search that yielded many amazing, strange, humorous, fake, products, words, tools, and facts… like... (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snipe)

In the snipe tradition, In the Jura Mountains, in France, tourists are sent to hunt the “dahu”, an imaginary mammal whose left legs are shorter than its right legs, so that it can walk easily along a mountain slope.

How to catch a dahu: Top 3 answers on the board

1. Call him from the back: it turns around and falls, because of its long legs on the top and his short legs on the bottom.

2. Sneak up behind him and scare him, he will turn around and fall, because of its long legs on the top and his short legs on the bottom.

3. Put a lot of ground pepper ground on a big rock; when the dahu, while grazing, comes and sniffs the pepper, he will sneeze and knock himself out on the stone.

funny and often humiliating when played as a trick but pretty much useless so… how about a few more… could you please go and get me…

On my first blog I want to let it be known
· I don’t really want to waste any ones time
· I don’t really want to share just useless information
· I do want to in a short, easy to read, often listing way, occasionally make one smile, in a run on sentence kind of way so that we might take something from life and point it to scripture and personal application
· I desire to be sincere and make one want to look deeper into scripture, self evaluation, and God’s plan for my life and others
· We say and sing so often in church services how God is “worthy” – I believe He is worth it and so much more…. And thank Him for this opportunity
· The same is true for His Word

so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness 2 Timothy 3:16

Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. Psalm 145:3

In a loud voice they sang: "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!" Revelation 5:12
