Wholly

Until recently I never realized that often times when I hear the word “holy” it is actually the world “wholly”

“Wholly implies that no part is lacking; the whole person is to be kept blameless. Every aspect of human nature is to be made whole in Christ. ”

Definition - adverb

1. Entirely; totally; altogether; quite.
2. to the whole amount, extent, etc.
3. So as to comprise or involve all. 1 Kings 8:61

"Let your heart therefore be wholly devoted to the LORD our God, to walk in His statutes and to keep His commandments, as at this day." 1 Kings 8:61

Made “fully alive” might be a good definition…hmmm
·         I am often lacking, missing
·         I am often not fully engaged
·         I am often not fully pure
·         I am often not fully blameless

It made me think of one of my childhood favorite afternoon TV shows… “Holy costume party, Batman!”
