Lime is White, Lime is Green, Chalky White and Juicy Green

Hiking in the mountains of Colorado
We were looking at the water up ahead
It had a different color

It was white, milky

It came out of the ground

I was told it was limestone

What ????

I thought lime was green?

Isn’t lime a color? I’m pretty certain I’ve seen it in the coloring box

And haven’t I eaten it as a type of greenish yellow fruit?

And put it in tea (fyi…better than lemon)

Well… Yes – it is greenish yellow color and fruit

Origin form 1615–25; [Probably French from Spanish lima, from Arabic līma, līm, probably from līmūn, lemon; see lemon.]

However… the main definition listed is…

white or grayish-white, odorless, lumpy, very slightly water-soluble solid, that when combined with water forms calcium hydroxide (slaked lime), obtained from calcium carbonate, limestone, or oyster shells: used chiefly in mortars, plasters, and cements, in bleaching powder, and in the manufacture of steel, paper, glass, and various chemicals of calcium.

Origin: bef. 900; ME, OE līm; c. D lijm, G Leim, ON līm glue, L līmus slime; akin to LOAM

Crazy how things can appear one way and seem right then show itself another form and be wrong

The Way

there is a way that seems right to man
what ever he wants to do he thinks he can
if you think you'll like it - he thinks it's good
if you want to do it - he thinks you should
right and wrong - are in his own mind
but he don't know - he's walking blind
blind to the world and the effects of sin
he don't even know - the state he's in
he sees others doing what he wants to do
and before you know it - he's doing it too
he thought when he did it - that he'd be glad
and don't understand - why he's feeling sad
don't tell me what to do - you hear him saying
he thinks it's just a game - that we are playing
but it's not a game and the stakes are high
there's alot more to it than meets the eye
there's another dimension that he can't see
and if he ever finds it - he will truly be free
free to be the person he was meant to be
with the blinders taken off so he can see
the dimension of the spirit is life worth living
it's a gift from God and He keeps on giving
so give your heart to Jesus to be made new
your desires will change - and so will you
if you abide in Christ and He abides in you
the spirit within will show you what to do
your life will change from the inside out
you will begin to see what it's all about
be patient with God as He is with you
for you are now living a life that is true

There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.
